Present democracy is evaluated from the monarch and the feudalism. During the reign of the monarch there existed the system of kings and slaves. In the age of feudalism, there existed the system of Landlord and his subject. After the first Industrial Revolution in the 1700 century in Europe. The society was divided into two classes the merchant and the laborers.
After the industrial revolution, people began to throng in the industrial areas of the cities from the different parts of the century. As the demand for the manufactured commodities was so high that the merchant began to utilize the cheap labor of the labor-class to make more and more profit. The workers had to work since the sun rising to the sun-setting. They had offered unhealthy accommodation to live in and filthy food to eat. As a result of this inhuman torture and oppression of the merchant, their accumulated distraction exploded as a great movement. They called all the workers of the world to be united and announced that they would not work more than eight hours in a day. With their various demands, they organized a great workers rally in the “Hay Marker” in Chicago City of America on 1st May in 1886. On that rally, the police killed thousands of workers by firing. A current of blood flowed in the street. Yet they didn’t retreat of their demands and the workers waved their bloody dress in the air as the sign of their bloody struggle to encourage the workers to continue their struggle till the fulfillment of their demands. Later their demands were recognized all over the world. In order to honor and remember their sacrifice and struggle the workers of the world. Even today, observe the day every year on 1st May. But Now-a-days, the fundamental rights of the worker often being interrupted.
